I grew up a highly competitive soccer player. Playing in a national league for club, winning a state title senior year of high school, earning a scholarship to play division 1. When I was 17, I found crossfit as an extra way to train and get strong and fast on the field. And I fell in love immediately. After my 4 years in college and a handful of knee surgeries later, I moved to wilmington in 2020 and the first thing I did was join BlkOps. Since then, ive grown as an athlete and person in so many ways. Countless team competitions and podium finishes, traveling to Texas for my first indy comp, growing incredible friendships that extended outside of the gym walls, and joining the coaching staff to share my passion about fitness and give back to others what ive gotten for so many years.
Achieving your life dream of becoming a division 1 soccer player puts you at the top of the world. Tearing your ACL 4 times in 4 years and never playing again throws you lower than you could imagine. Without soccer, I lost my whole identity. But, allowing myself to deal with that loss and move into a different competitive avenue in the gym gave me my fire back. I always loved to work hard, and sweat and hurt and im so happy and proud of myself to be able to feel all of that and be a competitive athlete again.
I love celebrating everyone's wins. You ran your first 5k?? Let's goo! Got your first pullup?? Hell yeah! Seeing other people's hard work pay off completely overflows my cup and I love being able to be a small part of that. As a coach, friend, and fan.
